Acadamy awards 2011: The good, the bad and the ugly

Hello lovely readers,
Time for a rundown on the fashion worn during the 2011 Academy Awards

The good

Natalie Portman, who won best actress, had a beautiful dress on by Rodarte! It fits her pregnant body amazingly! I did not really like her Gloden Globe dress but this one hits it out of the park!

Cate Blanchett who is one of my favorite actresses looked amazing in her Givenchy dress. In a way I don't really like the sleeves but on the other hand it really suits her. She can totally pull it of.
It seems that Amy Adams is always on my good "list". I love her L'Wren Scott gown.

Hailee Steinfeld has just been in one film and was already nominated for Best Supporting Actress. I have a feeling that we are going to hear a lot more from this young actress. I love this Marchesca dress, it fits her age and looks beautiful on her!
Helen Mirren looked like a million bucks in her Vivienne Westwood Gown. This woman never sees to amaze me, not in only in her amazing preformances but also in her good tast in fashion.

The bad and ugly

Florence and the Machine lead singer Florence Welsh wore a yellow/cream Valentino dress. Now I love Valentino but this dress looks like it's 100 years old and needs a proper wash.
Total fail!

Do I even have to say anything here? Greek godess meets siccors gone wrong?

Nicole Kidman, who usually dresses very nicely did not do it for me this time! What is wrong with the shape of this Dior Haute Couture gown?

What were your hits and misses of the evening?

All the love,

Elle
